If you’re a member of my family, you know what today is.

If you’re not (which is the statistical majority of you), you might think today is just your run-of-the-mill, semi-scary Friday the 13th.

But you would be wrong.  (Sorry.)

This is my mom.

This is my mom on coffee.

This is my mom since she has stopped drinking coffee.  Cold-turkey.  After, like, 80,000 consecutive years (not really) of three cups a day.

But this is my mom when Friday the 13th is in sight.

Why?  Because my mom loves Big Macs.  More than coffee and maybe even chocolate.  And she eats a Big Mac every Friday the 13th (and only on those days, so you can see why this is such a celebration).  She calls it a “Big Mac Attack.”  The fact that there will be THREE such “Attacks” this year (today, April 13th and July 13th) does not diminish the excitement.  At all.

So how ’bout it?  Wanna participate in our weird family tradition?  We’ll be digging in at 7:00 pm EST if you’d like to join!

(You’re welcome, McDonalds.)
